Monica Jazdzewski

President

Monica Jazdzewski was born in Frankfurt, Germany and grew up around the world as a military brat.  She moved to San Antonio after graduating from Texas A&M University in 2006.  When Monica met her Wisconsin born husband, Jake, she made him promise that San Antonio would be their forever home. She and her husband are proud parents of two Bonham Bobcats. She currently serves as Director of Finance for a Supply Chain & Logistics company. Monica enjoys traveling, hanging out with friends and family, and meeting up with her book club.

Xomalin Peralta

Treasurer

Xomalin arrived in San Antonio from Mexico City via California, North Carolina and New Mexico. Studies, job opportunities and family have guided her path. She has a PhD in physics from University of California, Santa Barbara but she leads an extremely interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary scientific career, which reflects her love of learning. Together with her husband, Fidel, she is navigating her way through raising two bilingual kids, six years apart. Xomalin is fluent in English and Spanish and has been a board member since 2017.

Christina Macias

Secretary

Christina Macias was born and raised in the Southside of San Antonio, Texas. She owns and manages a Software Studio named Creek Digital. Christina and her husband Rudy live in the LaVaca neighborhood with their two children who attend Bonham's dual language program. Their lively household also includes their cherished pup, Frank, and feline companion, Lola. She is excited to join an organization like FOB, which brings together the community, parents and local businesses. In her personal life, Christina likes to travel, water her plants and porch sit with her family and friends.

Veronica Montemayor 

Events Chair

Veronica is a native Texan. She attended the University of the Incarnate Word and obtained a bachelor's degree in Business Administration. She works as a Customer Sales Lead for Campbell’s. Veronica, her son, and their dog Milo live in the Lavaca neighborhood. Her son is enrolled in the dual language program at Bonham Academy.  Veronica enjoys spending time outdoors, fishing, going to the gym, and trying new restaurants around town.

Heather Lopez

Events Co-Chair

Heather Lopez was born and raised in San Antonio.  She graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a degree in interdisciplinary studies and started her teaching career in SAISD.  She graduated in 2011 with a masters degree in Educational Leadership.  This is her 15th year as an educator in SAISD.  She and her husband, Manny have 2 children that attend Bonham Academy and an energetic pup, Rudolph.  Heather enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, reading and supporting local businesses.

Mary Heathcott

Board Members

While she was born in Houston, Mary Heathcott likes San Antonio more. She first arrived to seek a degree in biochemistry from Trinity University, but left with a B.A. in Art History, an introduction to her future husband, and an untamed passion for the arts. After cementing her love for contemporary art in Chicago, where she earned her master’s degree, she returned to San Antonio and is now the Executive Director of the Contemporary at Blue Star. She loves living in baja Lavaca with her husband Maxwell and their Bonham bobcat. Her favorite activities include traveling, visiting museums, attending live music and theater performances, watching movie trailers, and exploring the outdoors.

David Nungaray

Board Members

David Nungaray was born and raised in Orange County, California. He moved to San Antonio in 2010 after graduating from Chapman University as part of Teach For America, where he served as a fourth grade dual language teacher at Bonham Academy. He went on to get his masters degree in Educational Leadership and worked in Alamo Heights ISD, helped found the Advanced Learning Academy, and he ultimately returned to Bonham in 2018 and served as principal until 2021. He now serves as the bilingual consulting partner for TNTP, a national education nonprofit. He and his husband, Jonathan, along with their two furbabies, Bendel and Bruno, live in the Southtown community. Together they have fostered 47 dogs with SNIPSA, serve on various boards, run a small plant business, and love to travel.

Maxwell Heathcott

Board Members

Maxwell Heathcott was born and raised in Little Rock, Arkansas.  He first came to San Antonio to attend Trinity University, where he met his wife, Mary.  After a six year hiatus to Chicago, he returned to San Antonio to work for C. H. Guenther & Son (a.k.a. Pioneer Flour), where he is currently Director of R&D.  Maxwell and Mary live at the southern edge of Lavaca with their son, two cats (Rolanda and Scooter), and dog (Brava).  In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, fishing, hiking, biking, and working with wood.
